Work

At The Happy Sea Co., I provide fun, supportive surf and creative wellbeing sessions for people with learning disabilities and additional needs. My sessions are designed to build confidence, encourage connection and create positive experiences through the sea, creativity and the outdoors.I am an experienced surf therapy practitioner with a background working for The Wave Project in Croyde, North Devon. Sessions are small, inclusive and carefully adapted to individual needs. With qualifications in beach lifeguarding, adaptive surf therapy and illustration, The Happy Sea Co. combines safety, creativity and a genuine passion for making the coast accessible, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.

Hi, I’m Evie — founder of The Happy Sea Co. 🌊I’m originally from the North East and recently moved back home after spending time in North Devon working for The Wave Project in Croyde, where I supported and led surf therapy sessions for people with additional needs and physical disabilities. During my time there, I saw first-hand the incredible impact that connection with the sea can have when people are supported in the right way — building confidence, joy, calmness and genuine connection.Alongside my surf therapy experience, I am RLSS beach lifeguard qualified, Adaptive Surf Therapy qualified, and hold Undergraduate and Masters degrees in Illustration and Children’s Illustration. I combine my love for the sea, creativity and inclusive support to create sessions that are safe, positive, fun and tailored to the individual.
